MEN'S FELLOWSHIP

Bright Side Baptist Church’s Men's Fellowship Ministry encourages men to come together and share their joy in the Lord, by exchanging experiences, knowledge, fellowship, and passion for action in the community. This multi-generational gathering strengthens men of all ages through the application of God's Word and mentorship of young men and boys. Men’s Fellowship is designed to help YOU maximize your potential as a Kingdom Man for the glory of God and the betterment of others. Our purpose is to provide the men of the Church guidelines on how to make Christ the central figure in their lives and how to become Godlier in their daily lives. Men’s Fellowship participants collectively examine a variety of topics relying on scripture and life experiences to assist as we endeavor to follow the path left by Jesus Christ. Men’s Fellowship is a group of men who are committed to serve our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

OUR GOALS INCLUDE:

Through fellowship, prayer and love facilitate meetings that are design to express the “Holy Word” meaning of a Godly man.

We will seek to identify and define the meaning and qualities of a Godly man.

We will strive to help each man become equipped with these qualities as presented in the Holy Word.

To make part of our everyday lives daily Bible study and prayer, to witness Christ’s way in our daily work and in all personal contacts, through words and actions, and use the Bible as the primary reference source for all our teaching.

AT MEN’S FELLOWSHIP, YOU WILL:

Grow spiritually.

Address your unique needs and responsibilities biblically.

Connect with other Kingdom men in a small group setting for spiritual growth and accountability.

Come together with other Kingdom men to serve the ministries of the church and participate in approved community outreach projects.

7 BIBLE VERSES FOR MEN OF FAITH

  1. Joshua 1:9 – Be Strong and Courageous  “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
  2. 1 Peter 5:5 – Be Humble  In the same way, you who are younger, submit yourselves to your elders. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.” 1 Peter 5:5
  3. James 1:19-20 – Be Quick to Listen  My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. James 1:19-20
  4. Psalm 119:9 – Walk in The Word  “How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word.” Psalm 119:9
  5. James 1:2-3 – Face Trials Head On  “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.” James 1:2-3
  6. Proverbs 27:17 – Iron Sharpens Iron  “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” Proverbs 27:17
  7. 2 Corinthians 4:16 – Do not Lose Heart  “Therefore, we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.” 2 Corinthians 4:16
